No matter where you live or where you come from. You are a unique and special being with unique stories under your belt that need to be counted to heal, motivate, help, entertain and encourage more than one life — including your own life.

If you are a beginner, aspiring, or even a seasoned writer, you might feel identified with this piece. Hopefully.

I have heard the same excuse countless times. Blarz, “I would like to write, but I really don’t find what to write about”. Or it goes like “I think the stories I want to write were already written by someone else”. There is one truth in this — It is killing several chances to heal and help someone else out there.

Just for five seconds, keep the following in mind.

No matter if you got a writing degree or if you are a self-taught one, writing is waiting for anyone who wants to enjoy, experiment, and come up with healing and encouraging words placed on a page.

First thing, first. I am not a writer

I am not a writer by profession. I write because I like it.

I enjoy losing myself in writing. Once I start to type, there’s nothing else that can detach me from it.

Yet, a few years back, when I started out this amazing journey, I had two big barriers to overcome:

  1. I didn’t know English at all — I had to learn it and I still learning it

2. I had zero writing experience. I never wrote a post in my teens.

This was the drug I needed.

I was just allowed to lose myself in writing without thinking about those blockers I had by then.

In the end, I see obstacles as the drugs my life needs to go for, which has a profound meaning for me. I had got the drugs. I got everything I needed to start writing.

The beginning sucks. It is almost the same for everybody

Just don’t hurt yourself up. Read it again, please.

I have read countless articles from modern successful people from different fields who agree that at first things were awful and hard. It’s unavoidable.

Hence, if you are just getting started in writing or blogging, this is just a fact you need to embrace right away.

At this stage, it is just fine to keep writing crap blogs or pieces, but just make sure you are doing it as constant as you can. This means, doing for the sake of being better.

You don’t need to be in a rush or under pressure to ship it. The more you internalize this, the better and stronger relationship with writing you will build.

There will always be similar stories but never equals

No doubt that the amount of content now exists, it is not close to what it was several years back.

There are a bunch of similar articles and blog posts floating on today’s content sea.

I have read similar pieces that address or teach you the same exact matter, but one of them is always more engaging and popular, why?

Simple. Its author has a special and unique way to tell the story. Or there are unique passages of the story that are completely different from the other one that will resonate more with the reader’s own circumstances.

When I started off to write, I was scared that more than one had already written similar stories.

In fact, I found a huge list of them. But as long I read them I always found that there were gaps and unique parts in my story that made it more engaging, hence with more odds to stand out.

it’s not about what to write, but how we are going to convey the message adding your unique sauce. — by the author

Therefore, it’s not about what to write, but how we are going to convey the message and how you will guide the reader over the reading. You and I have different and unique life’ factors and circumstances, and this is what makes it unique.

Bet on healing, motivate and inspire others

One of the biggest realizations I have experienced through writing is that the more I write, the more I realize how many powerful, life-changing stories I have under my belt.

I have medicine and pills that aren’t sold in any store out there. Hence, I can heal and lift others up with my stories and thoughts.

No doubt, the same happened on your end — you have yours too… So what are you waiting to count and help others?

Success is subjective and relative. But to me, a successful writer or blogger is someone who is able to touch one person’s heart and mind with his content. That’s it.

On top of that, success is about the ability to lift others. So if you lift up at least one person, you did meet your mission.

Your stories are a true opportunity to heal others. It’s a chance to inspire others.

Through writing, you have that power, you just need to use it.

You will find your voice along the way

We need to find our voice. Why is this important? Because is the voice our readers will follow and listen to.

It’s the same way sheep follow the shepherd — because they know his voice.

Just keep in mind that finding your voice might take time. It’s a matter of trial and error. You will need to experiment with new ways or do things differently.

This means, find a clear and unique way to count your stories. One of my friends always tells me, you have an especial way to guide me on the reading. That’s my voice. It’s the song for my readers.

When you find your voice, the reader can see and feel emotions that only you are able to cause. He can lose on your reading and relate to your story in a profound way.

Final thoughts

Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life — Pablo Picasso

Writing is the most powerful technique I have found to get clarity in my life. It’s the antidote I have found to heal myself and others.

A white page is like your best friend, listening and waiting for every word that will come from your mind and heart.

Remember the beginning suck. This is not restricted to writing, but any field, hence embraces that fact and starts rolling. Don’t hurt yourself without need. This is unavoidable

Finally, believe it. You are a unique and special being with unique stories under your belt that need to be counted to heal, motivate, help, and encourage more than one life — including your own life.

Thanks for reading. I hope this piece turned to be out helpful.
