#1 You will come back to the simplest and basic things

🎉 Keep calm! It’s my birthday. Welcome, 37 years.

Today I am turning 37. I am deeply grateful.

You are part of this. Thanks for being here reading this piece. I am a really glad and lucky man.

This year is so damn special. Especially two months. Why?

February and May are really special.

Belen our little daughter is on her way and Axel my little son is going to turn 6 years old.

That is simply amazing!

Thank God. I am really grateful for the life, family, and friends I have gotten over these years.

These are the pillars. This is the cornerstone of my life. This is the shield I need to face the darkness of this world.

We should not be growing old, but increasing in value — Blarz

Now I would like to talk about the two essential life lessons I learned over 37 years.

1. You will come back to the simplest and basic things

In this modern, fast-change, and business-centric world, we try to reach success at any cost, forgetting to enjoy those simple things you have already.

Our focus and energy are mainly on getting more money, traction, or fame. When you get it, you will realize that you will need more.

This is the point when will come out with a big question — Now what?his

After reaching a point — call it a goal, this same question will surface in your mind over, and over and over.

This a repeated, endless and nonsense behavior.

Once you are tired, stressed, and unfulfilled because of that lifestyle, you will come back to those simple but fulfilling and meaningful things I listed above.

What is the point to lose ourselves and going crazy on that journey?

What is the point to go nowhere, to later just come back to the beginning?

There’s no way.

Don’t need to travel all over the world for the wrong reasons to then come back to the beginning.

Takeaway

My friend, enjoy all gifts life has given you. Biking, running, jogging, meditation, hiking, hugging, fishing, talking with strangers, writing, you name it.

Because eventually, you will come back to this, but perhaps a bit late.

Forget overnight results and avoid instant results

This is easier to say than do it. You are absolutely right.

For once and for all, forget that worthwhile things are overnight.

There is no doubt that whoever says it is lying to you.

All good, meaningful, and fulfilled outcomes require time, effort, pain, and sacrifices.

If you decided to go to the gym and get in shape, don't focus on instant results. It will take you time and discipline.

When it comes to writing or coding is the same. You will master it as long as you do it on a daily basis.

Otherwise, you will start to feel frustrated because you are focused on instant results rather than building a sustainable process in the long run.

Final Thoughts

Let’s recap.

In this modern and business-centric world, we try to reach success at any cost, forgetting to enjoy those simple things we have already.

So enjoy all gifts life has given to you. Biking, running, jogging, meditation, hiking, hugging, fishing, talking with strangers, writing, you name it.

Don't take them for granted. You will miss them once you are far to them away.

Finally, remember that all good, meaningful, and fulfilled outcomes require time, effort, and sometimes some sort of pain, and sacrifice.

Thanks for reading. I hope this turned out helpful for you.
